LARA ALDRIDGE GLASS
Lara Aldridge was born in 1972 in Cobham, Kent. She graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 1994 after studying on the B A (Hons) Three Dimensional Design course.
She now designs and produces innovative glass pieces using various metals, from copper wire to gold dust, within the kiln firing process. The result is a range of vibrant designs which encompass subtle resonant colours and hues, that characterise her work. The present range includes contemporary wall-mounted panels, elegant shallow bowls, table pieces and tiny jewellery forms. Each piece is highly finished; hand-ground and polished by partner Jon Oakley.
Lara takes her inspiration from the vibrancy of Brighton and the natural beauty of the South Downs.
