For many years Sue worked for a multinational company attending many workshops and courses in various glass techniques. Eventually in 2003 the bug had taken a firm hold and Sue emerged herself totally in all things glass. Sue spent two years studying at the International Glass Centre and recently set up her own studio.

Sue grew up on the edge of Dartmoor, family holidays were spent on the North Cornish Coast. She has a love for that stark, rugged coastline it is perhaps why she took a degree in geology. She says 'I am constantly in awe and respect of our physical environment'. Sue's work is inspired by her earlier family holidays, her love of the sea and rocks. She works mainly with sand cast glass creating sculptural pieces through both hot and cold manipulation and often combined with stone.

As part of her role on the CGS committee Sue aims to contribute to the development and awareness of all contemporary glass.
