ANN KELLY
Born in Cheshire, Ann studied at The Laird School of Art and The Liverpool College Of Art. Although initially working in Graphic Design, she quickly reverted to Fine Art, and has taught both adults and children in painting, print making ceramics and sculpture, but now concentrates on her own work.
Painting in oil with a palette knife, Ann s work is greatly influenced by light and shade, trying to create the feeling of solitude and open space in her coastal work and the richness of the countryside, especially strong sun and dappled light through trees, or stormy skies with light picked out on buildings.
Ann has exhibited and sold work in many galleries in the U.K. including The Edinburgh Drawing School, The Goat Street Gallery West Wales, The Royal West of England Academy and The Mall Galleries London, and with the Society Of Women Artists.
Ann also has work in many Private Collections in the UK, France, USA, Australia, Holland and Japan.
